Trip Report: To Norway and Back

A Widerøe Embraer E-190-E2 at Tromsø Airport

In August, one of my best friends and I found an incredible deal to fly to Oslo, Norway on Air France, purchased through Delta.

An incredible deal for almost 18 hours of flying time.

All in, the fare came to $468.71, which was an incredible deal to fly roundtrip to Europe in standard economy.

I was mostly excited as I would finally to get to fly on an A380 on the leg from JFK to Paris CDG.

I would also fly Air France's subsidiary, Joon, which is actually shutting down within the next few months.

We added additional flights on two local carries - Widerøe and Scandinavian Air System (SAS). We would fly a brand new Embraer E-190-E2 from Bergen to Tromsø (seen on top) and a Boeing 737-700 from Tromsø back to Oslo. Unfortunately, no SkyTeam carriers were options for these legs, but I was excited to try 2 new airlines.
