Delta's Newest LaGuardia Airport Terminal Opens

LaGuardia Airport is undergoing an entire renovation. From parking garages, to roads, to public transportation and terminals, the entire airport will cease to be known as it once was. While the Central Terminal (B) has a section that opened last year, Delta's first section opened on Monday.

Delta's newest concourse, extends east from the current terminal D and will add seven new gates. These gates will replace gates that required buses to a remote stand. The 105,000 square foot terminal features natural light and New York City food staples.

The above rendering shows its placement on the water, on the right. While the new LaGuardia is far from being completed, this is an incredible first step for those flying Delta.

If you happen to be flying out of gates 92-98 on an upcoming trip, you'll get to depart from this new section. Remember, the entrance to Terminal D has not yet changed, so this may required a bit of a walk.
